After months of doing his research, signing up and preparing - - the morning finally came for my Son to leave for the Army. During the early hour morning the Army car pulled into our driveway. Just minutes before, my husband said a prayer over our son. It was dark and I was shaking and teary eyed so this was the best I could get - still, CC appreciated!

A very mature and brave young man. He will be fine amongst the finest young men today. A big thanks for him taking on this task.

As he is gone during his tour of duty - always remember that prayer your husband said, and that prayer is so much more powerful than any weapons or warfare our meager humans hands could ever create. God bless him on his journey! Powerful picture!

Beautiful capture. You captured all the love and emotion.

On the photo processing, perhaps adding contrast will improve it. All looks to be grey, even the white wall (I think) in the background.

Wish your son and your family well. Thanks for sharing this moment.

I'm working on the contrast - thanks much for the kind critique; I would like it to be as good as I can get it considering...

    Eia,

I will pray for a wall of protection to be placed around your son, and for your family the peace that he is being looked over.

Thank you for sharing such an intimate family moment.

Your son has my thanks and respect, and your family for supporting his commitment.

I'll echo that it needs a bit more contrast -- too many greys without any strong blacks or whites. I also wish your son's face was better in-focus, or perhaps the dad's face, one or the other. Not sure I see any really strong focus point, come to think of it. Where do you want the eye to draw to?
