OK I think I know the answer here But I'm hoping I'm wrong or there is a work around. I need to re organize my Category Outdoors. I'm getting too many galleries in sub categories Hiking & Climbing. I'd like to completely redo this part of my site but if I do am I correct in thinking I will break all my existing links to photos & galleries in blogs & search engines etc? If so any ideas on how best to do this?

Thanks.

Gallery links usually survive a change in category/sub-category, but you'd have to show us some examples of exactly what links you are using to know for sure. The gallery number does not change when you put it in a different category/sub-category so if that's in the URL, the URL will continue to work. Individual image URLs don't change either.

Good info and explanation, John. Thanks.

Old links still work but you will lose traffic from search engines untill they find the right path again.
