Yeah, I probably have it backwards somewhat. But I couldn't browse this section of the forum anymore without needing a lens of this quality so I could start playing myself. It truly is a compliment to those who post here that I'm willing to get in trouble just to try and produce some of the same results.

With any luck I can dig up enough stuff to sell before this purchase makes any kind of dent. I started this morning by putting my Canon 500D diopter up for sale in the flea market section.

oooooh...very smooth. I was going to mention that it serves as a great portrait lens but wording it the way you suggest might just pull me out of the doghouse (which is no place to be when you have no dog).
