I spent the day at Paynes Prairie SP on Sunday. It was cold. I know that when I lived up north it would have been just another winter day but here in Florida mid 20 is cold. There was a lot of activity all over Sandhill cranes, American bitterns, red-shouldered hawks and about 6 adult eagles and two young eagles. Here are a couple shots of the eagles. Let me know what you think.

    Hi Keith,

Nice find, even in the cold!

What part of Payne's prairie where you shooting at?

I was near the main entrance on Chacala trail at the lake. There is a short boardwalk and I just stood there waiting for everything to pass by. Early in the morning (when it was really cold) I was up on the La Chua trail and it was loaded with sandhill cranes, American bitterns, egrets, white pelicans, herons and ice in the warterways.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I haven't been up north to any of the parks there but this was the most eagles that I have seen that weren't in a cage.
