Just finished the PP on a shoot from Monday night. All shot were done with my Nikon D300, 70 - 200mm F/2.8 and Alien Bees AS400's using umbrellas. Post processing was done using Apple Aperture (for workflow), On One Software's Photo Suite Plug-in 4.5, Nik Software Sharpener Pro 3.0 and Color Efex 3.0, and Portraiture Plug In. Hope you enjoy!

C&C or questions are always welcome!

Thanks,
Joe

She's beautiful and your lighting definitely made her shine (no pun intended). The subtle biting-of-the-lip added a little bit of a sexy tease to her, awesome job!!

I'm also a huge fan of Aperture's workflow, I only use CS4 when I just HAVE to (or I have an action that I need that Aperture won't give me). Every editing program has its pros and cons, but I can sift through a thousand pictures in Aperture in a matter of hours instead of DAYS it would take in Photoshop. I love Apple, making my life easier, one machine at a time.

One more thing, whatever treatment you ran on 8 (but not on seven) try running through all of them, 8 seems softer and more forgiving, looks like she has on too much make-up and the texture of her skin is coming through. They're all beautiful, but I personally think that 8 is more flattering than 7. Just my opinion, though.

Yeah, the difference was not in the PP, but actually the lighting setup. She did not have very good complexion so changing the light definitely enhanced the deficiencies in the skin. I agree though that 8 is much better than 7. Number 8, there was a key and fill light, whereas number 7 only had a key light and rim light.

I also only use CS4 for the necessities. I usually only use it to add my copyright info, and if I am going to do a collage of sorts, then I use it also because its much easier to work with layers sometimes :) I've tried Lightroom, working straight in Photoshop, using Elements, but I always came back to Aperture, and so it's what I use. Unfortunately they don't make it cross platform so that the Windows folks could benefit from it....too bad really.

    Hi Joe,
    nice series!
The only nit I have is your treatment made her skin look a bit palstiky. I know many models-type clients do request that look, so maybe this was intentional. But in any case it is done in a way that it's obvios that it has been PS-ed. You gotta be lighter on your Barbi effect mwink.gif
