For the first time in at least a month I found a spider in the house! For ages now, living creatures have been conspicuous by their absence in these wintery times... She was sat in a small hole so I had to tease her out, and then gave her a leaf to sit on while I set up the camera in the kitchen!

awww...she's a beauty. I really like the addition of the leaf, it adds an element of naturalness to this.

    Thanks Wicked.

To shoot it in the place I found her would have been impossible - above the door, in a corner...

    The leaf is a oft-used prop :)
