I'd just spent a very long time doing a group re-caption. When I went to save the 'Site Unavailable' message came up. I have a horrible feeling I'm going to have to type all those captions in all over again :(:

Hey Andy, any chance you could give us a 48hr notice the next time SM is going to have an unexpected issue? Thanks so much! :D

I had about a 400 image upload (using MacDaddy) going at home that was just about finished by the time the site went down. I imagine it's stopped uploading while the site is down... will it pick up automatically once the site is back up?

I'm not entirely sure, to be honest, though I don't think MacDaddy will pick up where it left off before the site went down.

When we're back up and running, use the Simple uploader. You can set it to skip duplicates, so that you don't end up with doubles in the gallery.

sorry for the inconvenience, we missed a step after finishing maintenance this morning and are dealing with the fallout. We have identified areas of improvement and will be updating our procedures and monitoring to prevent this from happening again.

Hmmmm... stuff like that should all be automated.

Well, I just rebooted all my cable modems, routers, computers, etc, and then I check here to see SM is down. rolleyes1.gif

I'm not worried. I've been with them for 5 years now. I know they're working hard to get us back online. Looks like I'm done working for the day. I'll be uploading tons tonight though. thumb.gif

Thats the first thing I checked. I didn't see anything messages when creating galleries either, so its probably some equipment finally failing on my end. Too bad this failing router costs $400. :(

I'm using safari, and when I go to my site, it loads for about a half second and then goes back to a blank browser. I thought it was a cookie problem or something, but just checked my settings to make sure that all were allowed...am I missing something or is SM still down?

I just tried to click on the support heroes link above and it did the same thing; as well as the sm homepage.

Any help would be appreciated; I have a feeling it's some small thing that I am overlooking...
