Hi everyone, just sharing a few pictures of green turtles taken in Oman. Apparently, five out of seven species of universally recognised marine turtles are seen in the Sultanate. It was a pretty cool experience, we actually got to see the turtles dig holes on the beach for their eggs, lay eggs, then head back to the sea.

Best time to view these turtles is from midnight to daybreak. However, taking photos is not allowed at night for fear of disturbing the turtles.
A few more pictures can be found on my smugmug site. Cheers!

Definitely a fascinating experience for me, learnt many interesting facts about turtles. For example, after laying their eggs in a hole, the turtle will cover up the original hole and dig another hole right in front of it to throw off predators (mostly foxes) who will come to the beach to dig for turtle eggs.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
