stolen image

is there any way i can check whether my images in smugmug have stolen by other or not?

    Not exactly sure what you mean. If you want to check referring links to your site, use Statcounter and or Google Analytics, both free and both easy to install (minutes) - click the tutorials link here on Dgrin's Navbar.

    If you're looking to see if any of your images are being used on the web without your knowledge or permission, you may want to try Tineye. It's a reverse search where you plug in your image and it checks around the web for the same file. I found one of my images being used as an avatar on a gaming site. What you do from that point is up to you. it's a beta version and you'll need to register (e-mail and a password) It can sometimes take a few minutes for a search, but claims to look at billions of images on the web. Good luck and here's the link.

    I've looked into the API. I wonder if there would be a way to integrate it with SM. That would be the ultimate.
