I had a instructor who spoke highly of this line of tri-pods. Noticed that Adorama has a GREAT deal on them right now ( http://www.adorama.com/INDC314.html ). Does anyone here use this tri-pod or tri-pods from Induro? Care to share your experience with them?

It's been over 12 years since the last time I bought a tri-pod. From what I can tell, this is just the legs right? I'd still need a ball head to attach camera to this right? Any other attachments I should consider?

I have an A213 and LOVE it. Sturdy, stable, super portable, comes with an awesome set of accessories (bag, spiked feet, tools) and the Induro heads are nice too. (Although I'm using a Giottos right now) The twist-locks are sweet and their system for keeping moisture and dirt out of the legs when closing works flawlessly.

I wish I had the $$ to go carbon when I bought this simply for the weight savings but I have no complaints about Induro. Awesomely built product.

I've also got one of their aluminum tripods (A214 I think) and would definitely recommend it, so though I can't comment on their carbon fiber models I would definitely consider them myself if I were in the market for one.

And you'll still need a ballhead, or a pan head if that's what you prefer. I've got an older Giotto's ballhead that works pretty well, though I'd probably spring for something a little higher end if I were buying new.

FWIW, at that price I would be hard pressed to pass it up if I was looking for some new legs. That is a sweet price. If the quality is like my aluminum model it will be awesome. I have put my hands on a couple Induro Carbon models at the local shop and they felt oh so nice. Incredibly light and well built.

yeah it's a rediculousy good price. I'll still need to buy a ballhead but with a 55% savings on the tri-pod, it leaves a little extra to put towards a good ballhead. It's kinda fast tracking my purchase, but I'm thinking I gotta jump on this.

Well I decided I'm going to take a pass on this particular tri-pod. Amazing price but it just doesn't have the features that I want. Particularly multi-positional center column. Time to do some research.

I had a Induro Tripod and really liked it. Until I left it behind my van and drove off without it. Doohhh.
I needed a replacement quick so went to local camera store.
I now have a Manfrotto 055xprob which I do like a lot. It has the multi postion center column and I like the leg locks on the manfrotto I can extend and collapse it so much faster and make adjustments easier.

I just bought this tripod, I hope I didn't make a bad decision. I'm really not to interested in the center column as I have read that it makes for an unstable camera position when extended.
