Default Slideshow options - possible to change?

Hi, I would like to change the default slideshow length between pictures. I find 5 seconds too slow. Is there a way to do so that would apply to anyway who visits the webpage (or even stick during sessions)?
This is somewhat related to the request on having a way to set the default style for anyone who views the page (already mentioned in thread: http://dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=15429&highlight=slideshow).
One more question: I am a complete newbie at smugmug. Is there a way to hack the page so that I have a separate button titled "Slideshow" visible on the main-page (rather than hidden in the drop-down menu). I would like to make the interface as user-friendly as possible for my viewers and having an explicit "Slideshow" button visible from the main gallery view would be more user-friendly IMO.
