Floodscape

Went out on the 17/01 to shoot for the dss challenge and got these images of flooding down by one of the local rivers. The water was nearly 2ft deep and by my admittedly rough calculations travelling at 3-4 mph (1-2 metres/sec).

They were shot in b&w which given the lack of colour other than dull grey brown water is no loss.

All c&c appreciated.

    I really like #1. Nice imagery with the reflecting tombstones, gives pause to the thought, that the dead was also affected by the flood

    Thanks. I think the official term for the broccoli is pollarded willows. They apparently use them to make cricket bats.

    Thanks for the feedback Rags. I hate to spoil the image but the things you see are bollards around a submerged car park at a local picnic spot.
