you shoot with your D100 while Nikon fixes the D2h.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I love the speedbump! Looks like it would be an easy drive over.

Also like the light on the next to last shot.

Plus all the others are your usual fantastic shots.

How do you like being back in "the wetlands"?

    Good Catch, Trish!

You said that is a HarryB?

    rare bird sighting there.
were there about 20,000 photographers behind a roped off area trying to get a photo like that. Maybe you could sell it.

Hehe, just having fun. (get his autograph on it, put it on eBay.clap.gif )

It actually is a very good photograph of a photographer in action.

Life after retirement, oh, lordy. Beats tennis, I can attest to that!

I can understand the tripod, though just looking at them, I wouldn't be sure which one would weigh more. Good thing the ground can hold them up.

    Hey Ginger,

That speed bump may look like an easy drive over but it can move when it has to.

I love being back at the wetlands. clap.gif The photo ops are harder to come by than at the rookery but it feels more natural to me. When I go I'm usually the only one there. At the most there will two to three other photographers and/or birders there.

Its quiter than the rookery and there's a greater variety of birds there. Plus its only a 15 minute drive as opposed to the two hour drive to get to the rookery.

    James.
Just a metering problem. Its not unknown in the D2h and was not a big shock. Shipped the D2h to the Nikon service center and they fixed the problem. The whole process took around two weeks. I was lucky that I kept the D100 as a back-up or I would have been in serious withdrawal.

Is it something that I should be aware of and looking for on mine?

Hopefully not. I've seen lots of reports from users on other forums saying that the metering on their D2Hs had stopped working correctly. When I shipped my camera the man at the shipping place told me that they had taken care of a number of other nikon users and they had the adddress of the Nikon Service Center on their computer.

If it goes Nikon will correct it for no charge. Most of the D2Hs are fine but there seems to be a significant number with metering problems. Hopefully you are in the majority.

Harry I'm convinced if we gave you a little P & S you'd get good shots... Once again you prove it's who's behind the camera, not the camera that matters. These are great, super sharp! clap.gif
