First Maternity Shoot

A friend of mine & his wife were willing to be test subjects for maternity photos.

Due to a last minute cancellation on their part, the photos got moved from Sunday to after work on Monday (dark outside). Their house pretty dimly lit, so I also had a chance to practice my off camera flash skills (looking at the photos I still need to work on that).

Anyway, comments would be great & thanks for looking.

I was attempting to have his face & her belly lit up with the rest dim but not dark.... they still like it with all the shadows.

there should be now, must of hit tab before i hit enter to start a new line, and it posted it before i was finished.

To be honest I am not digging these much. The 1st shot has too many shadows, posing is awkward, her face is obscured by her hair, and his face is a touch over lit compared the rest of the shot. I lke the idea of the last one haha...but you lose her face which is underexposed to boot. heh

The silhouettes are my favorite, personally.

The one of her laying down is my least favorite, the first thing I see is cleavage, not her belly.

Well at least im not alone with how i feel about these photos. I was going to kill the first one, but they liked it so left it in.

I plan on trying again if i can. 2 weeks till due date

As for the couch, she informed me that she better have one after seeing the camera lcd. She thought the cleavage was great. (my comment after checking the screen was OMG pregnancy supposed to make your boobs big, but DAMN!)

3b Another goof off shot, they didn't know i had the camera ready. To bad he's hiding the belly :cry And no luck getting them to redo it, they couldn't keep a straight face afterwards.
