Wall hung photo stuff storage cabinet

Greetings,

As with most trades, you rarely have time to do anything for yourself.

I've got bits and pieces of gear all over the house and studio so I took a mini holiday to craft a cabinet for myself.

Curly western maple veneer and solid cherry frames and mouldings.



The bottom detail...



Hand turned ebony door knobs...



Next, hang it on the wall and sort through all the stuff laying around :wink

That's another beautiful piece, Don. Last year, I had a new desk made for my office that uses a lot of that maple veneer. To this day, I'll catch myself just staring into the depths of that wood....I don't know of anything prettier in furniture. I applaud your craftsmanship.

Western curly maple is one of my favorites, the eastern version may have tighter curls but it doesn't have the colors...

My next project is a dresser in solid curly walnut and eastern maple veneers

That should be a nice contrast...
