I went out at dawn yesterday with a certain shot in mind. It didn't pan out. Got this one instead. Three exposures through Photomatix.

    I really like this because of the warm sky contrasted with the cool snow. You did a good job with the color balance and especially the HDR (I looked at the photo before reading your narrative and was wondering if you used HDR-- which IMO makes for a good HDR!) thumb.gif

    Thank you both for the compliments. The landscape here in winter can become quite monochromatic. The sky is the most reliable source of color. Before HDR, it was a lot more challenging to balance the foreground and sky. I'm having a lot of fun with it.
