One image won't upload

I was just adding images to a gallery I create and 9/10 uploaded without a problem. The 10th gave me an error that the file is too big, which doesn't make any sense. I was using the Lightroom plugin. Like the other files, the image in question is a .nef file 3872x 2592, size on disk is 8.73 MB (9,158,656 bytes).

Am I missing something here?

Sorry you're having trouble uploading that one file. Can you try exporting that file locally to your HD using the same settings, to see what it comes up with? If you're exporting to a temporary folder, the actual uploaded file won't be saved. If you're exporting, and saving your JPG export locally, have a look at the output file and let us know the stats on it.

My guess is that your JPG compression level may be set too low (high), close to 100, so that when it exports and converts the NEF, the JPG filesize may be too large. It could also be a quirk with the Lightroom plugin. Exporting a copy locally to have a look at, then trying to upload it with the Simple Uploader is our best bet to track this down.

Let us know what you turn up!

    Steve,

Thanks for the prompt reply. If I knew more about how the plugin worked, I could have probably figured out that it was exporting to a JPG that was too big. My mistake and problem solved.
