So last's night's shoot, I feel, as a pretty good success. I had the pleasure of working with this model and she was fun to work with, although a little quiet but fun nonetheless.

Anyhow, hope you all enjoy, and as always any C&C is always welcome!

Thanks,
Joe

Nice shooting, but the girls seems to have a single facial expression...

JOE, I really like you shadow to highlight ratio and the soft quality of the light. Really makes the photos stand out. The only concern I have is either she has odd eye makeup or her eyes are deep set and your main might be too high to fill the eye. They seem dark.

Nice shots, great lighting. I adore the back of that chair. I want that chair!

I agree she only showed one expression in most of these, does she have teeth? I never saw teeth. And I wish she would have done more than tilting her head to the right. You did A GREAT job in making her look even from behind!! thumb.gifthumb.gif

    Very nice. Love #13.

Joe... do you mind describing your light setup? I would really appreciate it. Looks like two lights but I may be wrong. What sort of modifier did you use?

    Thanks,
    Alex

    15524779-Ti.gif on #13, with #5 & #6 tied for second.

I too would be interested in the lighting setup for these!

good set...would also be interested to know the lighting...and as mentioned, she has nearly the same expression in almost all of them...and looks sleepy in the others

Nice set! Nice lighting, but I think it was too low, at least the catchlights are very low, and I think that's why the eyes look a little dark

Hey guys, thanks for you great comments! I would love to share with you my lighting setup as best as I can.

#2 through #7 were lit basically using the following setup:

#8 through #15 were basically lit using the following setup:

I know everyone has their own personal tastes, and most of the time I try to get my models to reveal different expressions, but in this case I was trying for a more serious theme. I wanted to try and give it a more serious/sexy type of theme to it.

It's funny, I know this model personally and all of her sisters and her brother and when I first shot her sister and then her, I had to actually walk up and get about 2 inches from their faces to make sure my eyes weren't failing because their irises are so damn dark, they were almost the same colour as the pupils! eek7.gif . I've never seen anything like it in my life. If you think these photos show dark eyes, then you should see my RAW files! rolleyes1.gif I actually lightened up the irises with some dodging.
