Good Evening Folks,
I have an older Canon 70-210 4.0 EF lens that was given to me along with an EOS 650 camera. The lens is not bad, but it's nowhere near L quality. At 4.0 it's a bit soft, but sharpens up nicely. From 5.6 on, it's a good lens. I have pictures taken at 210mm, at 4.0, 5.6 & 8.0, along with pictures of the lens. I'll take pictures at 70mm tomorrow and post them as well. The pictures were RAW shots converted to jpeg with no pp. I'll take $125 shipped or $120 in the Baltimore area. Lens come with 2 caps, and a Promaster spectrum 7 1A glass filter. Thanks for looking :thumb

Good Evening Folks,
I'm tired of looking at this lens :cry It's not a bad lens. I'll let it go for $100 shipped (money order only) in the Con US. If it doesn't sell for that price, then I'll just dust it off once a week Thanks for looking

i'm interested... what I'm trying to do is get more reach than my current 55-250is gives me. I'd get a teleconverter for it if there was one for ef-s lenses, but so far one doesn't exist.... how do you think the 70-210 would be with a 1.4 or 2.0(I know it would be stretching it with a 2.0) converter? I'd like something better than the bottom end 70 or 75-300 lenses, but i don't have the cash for a 70-200L and a converter either...
thanks
If you want a little more reach, I wouldn't recommend a 2x tc because of degradation. A 1.4x would give you about 300mm, so you're only gaining about 50mm, and the iq would diminish slightly, especially with all those mp of the 7d. If you only want the extra 50mm, then you could sell your 55-250 IS and buy a used 70-300 IS. The difference would be about $200 out of pocket, but you would have your 300mm, with IS. A good 1.4x tc will cost you at least $125, (Kenko Pro 300, Sigma EX APO) and the quality would not be as good as the 70-300 IS. Hope that helps

If the title hasn't been changed to sold, then it will still be for sale
