a couple photographer friends and I met for a sunrise shoot today at a frozen pond. We hoofed it as fast as we could, but missed the early rosy color. Undaunted, we kept focus and here's what I got -

Two Leaners - dig that mackerel sky

These dawn shoots are getting mighty popular w/my little group and it's been a great experience, even if we miss the best light.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks for taking pity on my thread, Mary Kim. It was lonely. Yeah, the clouds were something else. We lucked out.

I like this series a lot. Dramatic skies are always a nice addition to any scene. Good work.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Oh no I didn't take pity on your posting -- I usually don't respond that often in the Landscape section, but I saw your beautiful winter photos and had to let you know. Winter is one of my favorite months...thank goodness since I live in ND :D

Your photos showed that you see the little 'beauties' that winter offers.
