What Happened? I pointed my domain name raylennon.com to my smugmug homepage, now all of my directories are pointed to Smugmug as well. I had a Wordpress blog set up at raylennon.com/blog but instead of going to my blog now its redirected to smugmug?

I had hoped only my index page would be directed to raylennon.smugmug.com any help out there?

You can use a subdomain, but you can't use a URL like raylennon.com/blog if your CNAME points to your smug account.

    Here are two options:
    1. Leave your CNAME definition as is, with www.raylennon.com pointing to your smug account. Change your blog URL to http://blog.raylennon.com.
    2. Change your CNAME definition, using something like http://photos.raylennon.com for your smug account, and www.raylennon.com/blog for your blog. With this setup, you would need to decide where to point the full domain, www.raylennon.com.

    Cname setup
I apologize for joining an old thread, but this one was short and to the point. I have been reading the forum, but was still a bit unsure of the steps to take to have a blog (Wordpress) as a subdomain and the top level domain pointing to SmugMug.

I'm thinking the steps should map out like this?

    For example:

    mydomain.com is registered.

    1) Change the DNS at the registrar to my existing hosting account.

    2) Create subdomain (blog.mydomain.com) at existing hosting account.

    3) At registrar point CNAME 'www' to domains.smugmug.com

    3) At registrar point A Record '@' to 208.79.45.23

    4)
Visit SmugMug Control Panel and look in the Settings tab for the "Domain" line. Click change and paste new domain name into the "Custom Hostname" box.

    Is this correct?

    Thanks much.

Hi Gary - that's absolutely correct (and point the subdomain 'blog.you.com' to your WP site) -

If you need a hand, shoot us an email on the help desk and we'll be happy to assist! (help at smugmug.com)

When you say point the subdomain as well - where is this occurring? At the registrar, at the hosting control panel or at SmugMug?
