I have a shoot coming up in a few days and some of the shots I have to do require a white backdrop. does anyone have any suggestions for one. besides going and buying a real setup. something temporary till I get the money to really get a nice one with stand and all.

Depending on what you have around you, when I was in a similar pinch I used a king-sized pure white bed sheet and hung it on a 1" x 10' long dowel which I then hung on some hooks on the wall. You have to either iron or steam the sheet so there are no wrinkles, but in a pinch, it'll do.

I also was wondering if anyone has any ideas for lighting the backdrop to blow it out for high key. I have one sb600. but need it for the main light. and i have 2 42" reflectors. I know its prolly not possible but if it that would be awesome

Use daylight flourescent bulbs, the energy save ones, put them in those round 8" refector clamps from Home Depot.

Sunlight works for blowing out BG's. If you can position the BG with the Sun behind it, then, you're in BIZ~

Go to Home Depot and buy a muslin drop cloth in Natural. Light the heck out of it. Or buy white paint and paint the drop cloth white. Several coats. Light the heck out of that too. You can even buy some shop lights at Home depot that will light the background enough to blow it out!
