Star trails

I had wanted to do a serious star trail shooting for a while now and after carefully examining the weather forecast, a friend of mine and I decided to head to Velika planina plateau last week in hopes of getting some nice pictures. The hike up was pleasant, and while the afternoon light was nice enough, the snow turned orange and red as the sunset approached! The blue hour in the snow-covered mountains was serene and peaceful, and after a hearty meal it was time to get our tripods and remote releases ready! First we shot around a chapel with the Kamnik Alps as the backdrop, and later, when the moon had set, I wandered around trying to find untrampled snow to take some more shots. We were lucky: the sky was clear, and the wind spared us as there was only a slight breeze, and even the breeze died down later. Satisfied with the results we slept for a few hours before getting up for the sunrise shots.
One of these days I need to take a really long exposure of star trails, maybe 3 or 4 hours, but last week it was probably too cold as our batteries died too soon, plus we wanted to shoot many different locations. You can't have it all, right?

Eia, #19 is not a sunrise, it's light pollution from the valley. There's no escaping it. In a way, it adds color to photos.
Aaron, #20 is indeed city light from the valley below. The moon had already set.
