I decided to go and check on the ducklings...they are fine.

I also decided that evening at the WL is VERY nice! Birds Birds and more birds!

    Hey Trish,

You must have got there today right after I left. I got a numer of shots of that spoonbill also. I saw the chicks but they were too far away to shoot. I saw one of the BBW parents run off a Little Blue and a Tricolor Herons when they got too close.

The last pic is a Glossy Ibis. Good shots. thumb.gif

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

....I thought the birds seemed a little aggitatedrolleyes1.gif The light was perfect until a wall of cloud decided to block any hope of a sunset shotne_nau.gif

i shot the BBWD from afar and the parents are definately on high alert. I met a nice gentleman out there..hopefully you will bump into him one of these days..although i believe he mostly shoots evenings. His name is Dick from Montana..lives here now..He was trying out his 200-400 for the first time... nothing like that "new lens smell"...damn...I want one! Hope you have only perfect weather before your Surg. day..of course you know i will be more than happy to help you out and take that 500mm out each day...just so it doesn't collect mold or fungus or something...rolleyes1.gif

Ummm...well it seems Harry needs to have some minor surgery ... to have his camera surgically removed from his hand...the docs say the camera should do just fine after a short period of recouperationne_nau.gif
