Not exactly street scenes, but three days up the Patuca River in a canoe, Miskito families on the Mosquito Coast:

Love the light and mood of the first one, and the way the second one is set up is great, with the one child checking on the elder. Ok, this is the engineer in me. What are the numbers on the doorpost? Reclaimed lumber from something else, or for actual measurement?

I really hope to have a back catalogue a fraction as rich as yours someday. Of the two, the first strikes me more. The hint of cooking utensils and pans is a reminder chores and daily activities.

Thanks, Andrew. No, those are survey marks put there by the government. They keep up with who has had vaccinations, etc., by writing it on the door post.

These are beautiful. When were they shot?
    If not now, when?

Thanks, Rutt. June 20, 1997. In my job, I took medical brigades to Central America several times a year between 1989 and 2008 and stayed with families before and during the clinics. I took photos to use to raise money for the self-development projects but didn't get around to editing all of the others until now.

Nice work, Tina - as usual. :D I particularly like the younger child and baby in the second shot.
