Keyword problems - phantom keyword won't go away

hello all, I've got a sneaky feeling this is a 'user error' but here goes;

Using Tools/keyword caption factility, I added a single keyword 'Joe' by mistake. After about 1/2 hr I went back in and changed the entire gallery to have "Joe Birch" in quotes as I originally intended.

Now I still see the keyword 'Joe' in the list of keywords and it won't go away.

Advice? thanks!

    Click on it and find out which image(s) Smugmug thinks has that keyword.

    thanks for the reply. Yes, I did that.

    When I examine the photos either individually or with 'gallery keywords and captions' all I see is "Joe Birch" ....... not 'Joe'

    I don't know then. It's either that you have to wait a little longer for indexing to complete after you changed it or it's one of life's mysteries for how Smugmug processes multi-word keywords. You could figure out which issue it is if you temporarily change "Joe Birch" to just "Birch" and see if the "Joe" as a keyword goes away or not. If it does, then it's how Smugmug is processing your multi-word keyword. If it does not go away, then it's probably just an indexing delay and you just need more patience.

    I also had a hunch that I had to give the server time to update.

    It's been more than a week.

    If anyone else has any ideas, please yell! thanks!!

    try it now. It takes a while to update but I changed your SmugIslands setting to no and then back to yes. That triggers a reindex in most cases.
