Winters journey in the Southwest

Over the Christmas holiday, I spent two weeks in Arizona, Nevada and Utah. Had a great time doing some off roading/camping/hiking and photography.
Got stuck in a few snow storms and my tranny went out in my Trooper.
But I made it home safe and sound and still had a great time.
Here are a few shots. I'll post more later.
1. Devils Fire
2. White Rock Canyon
3. Valley of Fire
4. Bryce
5. Arches
6. Arches
7. Canyonlands
8. Arches

great showing, these are so cool! how did you get the clouds to appear when and where you wanted
(just the opposite of you, all I ever get is blue sky in the day and if want to do star trails the clouds take over)

I actully waited 4 days to do the Delicate Arch hike until I had some clouds to work with for the sunset shot.

Thank you Hawkeye, appreciate the compliment.
Although the clouds aren't the greatest, I like the Devils Fire picture but my favorite is Delicate Arch. I've been seeing more (or noticing more) pictures taken from the lower viewpoint but the snow, clouds and moon really make the composition. My only nit: the star trails/points photos look good but the frames see a bit too empty (except for the Windows Section shot).

I agree, the clouds were not great for the Devils Fire shot. And it was the real reason I went on this trip. But that winter storm that pounded everyone over Christmas was moving in so I had to get what I could.
Gives me an excuse to go back. I have April planned for round two and will fly into Vegas and meet up with a couple of other photographers and take them to the area.
Thanks Aron...don't dismiss it all together...just using it as an excuse to go back in April:D
