Picture book. Also something Chinese about the BG. I think I would get a greater variety of tone into it - darken the bird, and also the nearer vegetation, and increase contrast.

Thanks Neil. I'm going through this love/hate thing with it- which usually isn't too good. I actually lightened up the raven, so it's no problem darkening it when I come back to it. I think I'll like it better in a few weeks away from it. It is a wicked looking background, but was interesting so I figured I'd see if I could make anything out of it. There were two ravens cawing at me and I thought it'd be cool if one would be in the shot. Sure enough, one swooped through.

:D Yes I know the feeling!

To clarify, I meant just get a bit more tone and contrast in the MG vegetation, I wouldn't touch the BG, it's perfect!

Cool shot, don't see a lot of birds flying downhill. Nice perspective and wintry feel to the shot.

Thank you. A friend mentioned it reminded him of the following poem by Wallace Stevens:

    It was evening all afternoon.
    It was snowing
And it was going to snow.
    The blackbird sat
    In the cedar-limbs.

I thought it fit quite nicely.
