Improving "Share" code - feasibility?

I am starting to get very involved with web analytics for my day job (it's evolved a lot in the last 3 or 4 years since I was last involved to this degree). As such, a lot of that is carrying over into the online promotion of my smugmug gallery. One particular area that has already been a nuisance for me is the code we get from the "Share" feature. The BBCode is fine, but the code for embedding images in blogs, as well as the code for gallery links, etc., could be enhanced fairly easily in my opinion.
What I am looking for:
1) The ability to define multiple sets of parameters to be appended to the urls, based on situation. For example, if I am linking from a facebook page to one of my images, the parameters after the standard url might look like this: &utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=fbpost&utm_campaign=dsrr482bw (this is for Google Analytics, reference)
2) Addition of auto-generated alt (based on image title), height and width tags for the blog embed code, as well as the above parameters added to the links. Doing so might require creation of an image title separate from description. Speaking of which, I have always wondered why this hasn't been done already.
I did create a request for this in Uservoice, but I wanted to know how feasible this is, given your db architecture. It seems to me this could be some low hanging fruit for you in all reality. I guess the Uservoice thing will show how many others are looking for this, but since it is starting at #210, not sure how many people will even see it.
