WILL I RECEIVE A 1099?
You will receive a 1099 only if:
1. You have received profit checks from SmugMug totaling at least $600.00 in the 2009 calendar year (the checks have to be dated 2009) AND
2. You are NOT a corporation, non-profit, or international photographer.
PLEASE CHECK YOUR 1099 CAREFULLY
Your 1099 is generated based on the information provided on your W-9 form. When you receive the 1099, please check that all the information is correct and up to date. In particular, that Name (first line in the address box) exactly matches the 'RECIPIENT'S identification number' (your EIN or SSN) as registered with the IRS.
WHAT IF THERE IS AN ERROR ON MY 1099?
If there is an error, please email us at showmethemoney@smugmug.com with your SmugMug nickname, and the corrected information. We will need you to update your W-9 online with new Name/Tax ID Number. Here is a link to the instructions.

Does anyone know if this income has to be reported as a 1099MISC or can I just include it under my income on Schedule C? I know, I should probably ask an accountant, but I'll bet it's a quick answer and you won't charge me for it Thanks!

So if we made less than $600 to date and cannot receive a 1099 then how do we get our money from you???
Hi! 1099s aren't money They are reporting to the IRS. You get your money by filling out an online w9 form, in your pros tab, control panel. Then request a payment (same place). http://smugmug.com/help/reporting
