Done, but with errors?!

On some but not all of my galleries (and some subcats ) I get the following warning at the bottom:

777465075_C8Syr-L.jpg

I don't see how these galleries are any different from others I've done recently.:scratch

Try this subcat (no problems in any of the galleries in this subcat), and one gallery here. In both cases the warning goes away once I refresh the page.

It hasn't bothered me but I've had a couple of very recent complaints regarding my cart using IE8 in one case (purchasing from a gallery in the first link) and on someone elses Mac, they used a PC to eventually complete the order. Works fine on my Mac, on my IE7, haven't checked Firefox.

I don't know if these two issues are related or not. Any ideas as to what may cause the warning and if it could affect the cart in a particular browser?

Thanks,
Jon

Same sort of problem with a Mac customer.
    Jon,

We had a customer who couldn't get shopping cart add photos using Safari, he tried several times. I downloaded Safari on my laptop and experience the same problem. Let me know if you here of a solution. We tried allowing cookies but that didn't correct the problem.

    Hi Jon,

I checked your site in all my browsers, i.e., IE 6, 7, 8 and Firefox, and also Safari and Firefox on my Mac. I did not see any errors in any of them. Oftentimes, clearing your browser cache will take care of the problem. Have you tried that?

I was also able to add photos to the shopping cart with IE8. What kind of problem did your customer run into in regard to the shopping cart?

    Hi David,

Sorry you're running into problems! What problem exactly did you run into with the shopping cart? Is it that once you added photos, they were not in the cart? If that was the problem, that's likely a cookie issue. Cookies need to be enabled to work with the cart.

Problem adding photos to the shopping cart.
The problem arouse when changing the quantity. Allow all cookies was selected, but a little arrow would just circle and not add the photo to the cart. I only experienced this problem using Safari on a PC, our customer had the same problem, from two different MAC computers using Safari. He eventually went to a different computer to place the order. Not sure what that computer was using.

    Thanks

Hi Barb thanks for checking. My customers were having the same problem as David, selecting a quantity, arrow spun & the page would time out. Switching computers seemed to solve the problem, but I also suggested clearing their cache, I don't know it that works.

I might add I have not encountered the problem at all on a PC using IE7 or Firefox, or on a MAC using Safari.

One customer hasn't returned my emails, I assume he tried Monday using another computer at work but no sale went through. I did briefly have this issue myself periodically last spring but I did nothing & it went away!

I can always resolve the download issue by dealing with the customer personally but I prefer the no-hassle method directly through Smugmug:D .

this customer just returned an email:

"Did the cache and cookies(added your site specifically) thing. Also did some file relocation to open UP some space on my hard drive too but no luck."

He still can't change the quantity in the cart. Could it have anything to do with his not having updated his Java? ne_nau.gif

    Hi,

Can you ask them to check and make sure they have javascript enabled?

    Hi Barb,
I already asked and he's not sure what Java is besides coffee, and
didn't know if he had it updated OR enabled.

I'll see if I can get him to check that, but he's about done with the computer now!

    Thanks,
    Jon
