I agree, the bird is great. Nicely backlit shape of the bird, very crisp and black and white, then the subtle introduction of color with the feeder. Nice shapes, color, sharpness, intriguing image. I can see why it was published. And outstanding background blur.

there is nothing like f:6.3 on a Dslr and a mile distance to make for a decent DOF
