My two sons and I spent 8 days and 7 nights traveling along the John Muir Trail from Kearsarge Lakes to Mount Whitney.

    Beautiful! One of my favorite places in the Sierra is Kearsarge.

    Fantastic scenery and awesome pictures! Had to do a search to find out where exactly this is. I'm from Norway. He,he! Never would have guessed that it's California.

    btw, your surname is one of the most common ones in Norway. Are you ancestors form Norway maybe?

    Really nice series. I've been to the summit three times, but never from the backcountry. You sure got a nice sky in your shot of the range from the highway.

    This was the second time on the summit for me and my son Josh.
    Josh and I day hiked Whitney three years ago.....now that's a long day!!!
    The afternoon thunderstorms gave us beautiful skies most everyday.
