Yes it is a "moderate" HDR... 5 frames, a really "heavy" sky, lots of cold and a sturdy tripod...:D
Not much post-processing... photomatix and some U-Point adjustments in Capture NX2.

Gear: D300 + 17-55 2.8, tripod and remote.
Exif: Aperture priority f/11, 5 bracketed frames (-2EV through +2EV)
ISO 200, focal lenght: 34mm.
I assume that the 2sec. exposure Smugmug displays onto the picture is perhaps the last of the 5 exposures taken by the camera.

So Photomatix blends the various water movements fine? Did you have to fiddle with that at all?
