Dead Of Winter

This is something I've wanted to do for a while I finally got off my ass and did it!
A friend of mine collects animal skulls and has wide selection to choose from. He agreed to let me use some of his skulls for a photo opps. I chose a wolf and bison skull for my exploration Saturday but I only ended up using the bison skull. Possessing the skulls was only half of the challenge. Finding the right setting was the rest. I found an area that was perfect. The first shot was not in this setting but I like how the skull and shadow turned out. The rest are from my new find. One of the challenges was to make the skull look natural and not placed as it does in the first photo. I achieved this by rubbing snow in my hands above the skull to replicate a snow fall. Took some time but the results were what I was after.
I damn near froze my toes and fingers off so I hope you all enjoy these photos!
