I am looking at getting into corporate golf photography but have noticed that there are a whole load of charity days being held as well.
I would like to address this market and was wondering if any has any experience in this or does them as a regular thing?
My idea is to go to the days at no cost to the organizers, shoot pics of the players teeing off and a group shot of the team and do up Mag covers in a folder and sell them to the players on return to the clubhouse for lunch.
From there I will donate either a set amount or percentage to the charity.
I don't know about in other parts but this seems to be a fairly rare thing here ( as is most onsite printing for sports) so I think it would have a novelty and wow factor attached as well.
Any insights appreciated.
Good idea - especially if you tie it to a donation to the charity. Usually the only photographers at these events are covering it for the local newspapers on behalf of the charity.
You could have a bit of fun with this and create a slide show on DVD - donate it to the charity to auction off at the banquet to raise additional funds for the charity. Most people / businesses have paid a lot of money to participate in these events and can well afford to "bid" on your product.
