Yup ... a real wall-hanger in process here - but I think the conversion and edit can be improved a just a bit more:
Unless I missed while looking at it, I dont' think I see a really good black in there anywhere.
And, there's a lot of blown areas - more than I see in the color version.
There are a couple of things I would clone/crop out:
Along the bottom, I see a couple or three sticks/branches/something sticking up
Along the right side, the corner of a house/window - something ... I would get rid of that
In the main tree, there's a blown high-light I would cover with some tree
Crop the left edge to just right of the fence gate - this would do a couple of things (1) remove that tree on the left edge that is not adding to the image, (2) move the house from the center of the shot to the left 1/3, and (3) better position the big tree on the right side.
but I do like the clean up suggestions.
I have to agree - I downloaded both versions to quickly flip back and forth and I'm also not sold on the crop and it was my idea. So ... I'm wrong ... yet again
