I finally calibrated by HP LCD with an i1 Display LT. Before you begin calibration, you are instructed to select the white point for your monitor. My HP2159m has the following option: 9300k, 6500k, sRGB, Quick View, and Custlom Color (using RGB controls). Also, I have reduced the brightness level to '60' while maintaining the contrast at 100%.
I selected 6500K. Here's my question, prints made prior to calibration were generaly darker than they appeared on my monitor. The sRGB option results in a slightly darker screen than 6500k. I plan to reprint a few photos and also request a calibration print from EZprints. With that said....I obviously need some advise!
Comments, experiences, and suggestions greatly appreciated.
