Hi, I am very new to Smugmug - be gentle.
I am attempting to set up a gallery containing images of three pre-arranged sizes, namely 150Kb, 1.4Mb and 3.6Mb.
I would like to have the file size visible so my visitor can download the appropriate sized image.
I have looked at the images newly loaded into Smugmug and all the images seem to the same size when I right click and choose "image properties".
I'm a little confused.
Please advise

Smugmug takes whatever you upload and makes a bunch of pre-built web sizes for use in the web browsing experience of your galleries that are based on pixel dimensions, not on file size. This is because web browsers work with images in pixel sizes.

Smugmug makes the sizes S, M, L, XL, X2, X3 where the long dimension of the image is 400, 600, 800, 1024, 1280 and 1600 pixels respectively. There is no control over these. Smugmug won't make an image size larger than what you upload so if you upload an image that is 1024 pixels on the long dimension, then XL is the largest size that will be available.

You can also separately control in gallery options what the largest size that you want Smugmug to offer is. When selling images, pros often limit the max size displayed in order to deter theft.
