One big nit for me, and it was like the second thing I noticed (after the moment of the shot) was the boy's shirt. It looks really weird to me.
Yeah it was a Red Sweat shirt and I used a red filter in B&W conversion, this gave the most
striking pop to his face, but did cause a strangness in the shirt.

Gotchya. Well as the boy is the focus of the shot, my eye goes to him instinctively. However now that is all I notice, it's quite distracting for me. Maybe create a layer mask over his shirt? I'm not GREAT at PP, but I think I might try something there. Just an opinion though.
