D40 what's it worth?

I have a D40 with only 2000 +- actuations.
Came with 18-55 and 55-200 kit lenses.

What would it be worth as a body, or with either of the lenses?

Might want to check completed sales on eBay, Craigslist in your area and some of the other D40 sales in this area of DGRIN...

i'd say about $250 for the body, $300-$325 with the 18-55, and $425-$450 with the 55-200.

remember a brand new d3000 with an 18-55 VR is $470 shipped, so you may want to price from there.

i've had my d60 body (with all original accessories plus extras) listed on craiglist in portland for couple weeks at $350 OBO and no one has messaged me about it yet.

i hope that info gives you a better idea.

i sold my d60 with the 18-55 and 55-200 for 575 a couple months ago...took awhile....i think 450 is pretty goo price for a d40 + both lens.

FWIW

I purchased a D40 recently with the kit lens for $325. I purchased the 55-200 separately for $150.

Both purchases were from Craigslist, locally, and were in very good condition. These were the best prices I could find as a buyer.

Please clarify if you are selling/soliciting offers - in which case, this is frowned upon here - a listed price is highly recommended.

If you are simply valuing your gear, may I suggest you use our search function. Only you can do your own price homework and be happy with it.
