A new self portrait Taken today.

D700 w/ 24mm f/2.8 @ 2.8 and 1/250s

Used to Alien Bee 400's. One for a back light and one for a catch light ( shoot through umbrella).

    I'm no pro, but did you use some layering to put the blur in? Just below the shoulder it looks like an extreme sharp to blur instead of a nice fade. But maybe i'm wrong. otherwise, I think the composition is excellent. :D

    I did in fact use a lens blue layer to simulate a narrow horizontal focus plane ( like a tilt shift lens would do similarly) However I didn't notice it before, but it is quite noticeable on the left shoulder. O well.

    There is no green tint on my screen, but to answer your question yes, the tones are purposely like that.
