Interesting concept and shot but I am not a big fan of all the blown highlights. Is there a chance to see a version of this with the highlights under a little more control? I understand the look you were going for but can you rein the highlight in just a bit?

Hey Michael,
Boy, it's been too long. I like this shot. Without the extreme PP, I don't think it would have near the impact you were after. I hope to see more of your work soon.
Take care,
Tom
I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Yeah.... seems those stretches have been pretty long.
Agreed, the original practically screamed "do something,
I'm practically dead left as is". So... extreme was on.
This looked just about right for as much as I could do, get something,
in the vein of interesting. Practical.

Really appreciate your feedback Kyle. Thanks much.
Yeah... I went for higher key efforts ever since I first saw the style.
Problem is coming up with an image that will take that kind of push and
come out on the other side.
Think when I came to some of those seriously over bright parts you mention,
I just skipped over the effort to tone em down all together.
Thinking, I can let it slide this time. Things are starting ta look kinda decent.
So I just kept raising the bar.
I'm no puritan when it comes to PP, but I think maybe you should take it down a notch. It's a cool shot, excellent composition, but it would be more expressive if there were more detail on the face of the biker. If the original isn't blown SOC, it should be fairly easy to use a circular gradient mask to restore detail there. Just a suggestion.
Kyle My thanks to you and Richard for impressing on me the
need to tone down those critical hot areas that would likely
improve whatever potential that may reside in the original shot.
Maybe when I fix those points, the take will come out on the otherside
much improved.
The Original you asked to see.
Instead of disregarding the shot as is... I thought maybe I could pull a
rabbit out of my hat and salvage something mo better.

If you don't push yourself, your normal limits, how will you grow? It's just an image ~ experiment till your hearts content!!!
Keep up the good work
Ahhhhh yes.... Sweet pursuit
