Super stuff!... should help increase macro sales...
Great butterfly shots Ben!! Nice clean uncluttered backgrounds. But not done with macro lens either, was it?? A 300mm telephoto - which can be great for butterflies if they focus close enough. :
end of the weekend here should end with some pretty pictures, so here's a couple. Hope you Folks have a great week
Excellent work Ben. The settings you used were perfect, the backgrounds are fine. The 300/f4 is one outstanding lens. I'm considering getting it again.

Right you are PF, In fact since I rarely take this lens off, I'm thinking of getting a 500D so I can get even a little closer
What do you think ??
Well gotta get a TC1.4 1st

Man now that's what I like to hear "Perfect"
What a sweet lens it is indeed, can't wait (well sorta have too) till I get TC1.4!!!

I didn't realize your 300F4 focused to 1.5 feet. That is impressive - my Canon 300mm only gets to 2.5 feet And I can't fit a 500D to it
!
What is the filter diameter of your 300f4? AH hah!! 77mm for the Nikon 300f4. A 500D will slip right on. Cool - that will allow you to get even closer.

Nice butterflies with lovely background bokeh.
Nah I had that wrong only 4.8', sorry about the mistake. I read it as 1.56 but that was meters.
Super B-fly shots Ben Woooooo Hooooo these sure came out well
I do miss shooting macros :cry After seeing your shots, I just might have to invest in a nice 100/180mm macro lens. Shhhhhh, don't tell my dear wife :uhoh

Those are some great shots. I especially like the second, I've never seen a butterfly like that before. Keep em coming.
Seeing all these great macros in here makes me want a 100mm macro too Steve.

Sorry Nikk for the mistake but it's 1.5 meter or 4.8 feet for min. focus. Still seems to work for me quite well
