First engagement session ever, was freakin awesome!!! :)
EDIT*** here's a link to the gallery so far http://www.melissakayser.com/Weddings/Engagement-Joel-and-Shannon/11164674_egtjp#782527766_rwjeD
OK I just shot these today, so these are just PRELIMINARIES (not even close to the final, just testing out processing and such..) but i couldn't wait to share them! Talk about pressure, this is the guy I second shoot weddings for so I was a little nervous that my first EVER engagement session was for a photographer. We had a lot of fun and I just love these two.:lust Oh my toes were completely frozen afterward but it was so worth it!
Anyway I still have hundreds literally to go through and I can't even say that these are my favorites because I have so many already!
Enjoy!

I am not so fond of #11 + 8 ,and #16, though. #11 + 8 is dead pan in the middle and there is no action looking at someone's back. And #16, his right hand doesn't visually look very comfortable.
But overall I think this is a very sweet engagement session! I like 6,18, and 19!

Aside from location of hands in a few photos, I think you did a great job.
Very nice.
My only comment is to be kind to his under eye circles in the final editing. Just a little help of course. That jumped out at me at the first real look at his face. But wow what a great series. Congratulations. I love them.
