EDIT*** here's a link to the gallery so far http://www.melissakayser.com/Weddings/Engagement-Joel-and-Shannon/11164674_egtjp#782527766_rwjeD :)

OK I just shot these today, so these are just PRELIMINARIES (not even close to the final, just testing out processing and such..) but i couldn't wait to share them! Talk about pressure, this is the guy I second shoot weddings for so I was a little nervous that my first EVER engagement session was for a photographer. We had a lot of fun and I just love these two.:lust Oh my toes were completely frozen afterward but it was so worth it!

Anyway I still have hundreds literally to go through and I can't even say that these are my favorites because I have so many already!

Enjoy!

No time for critique now, but it's a lovely set. You did well.

Thank you Caroline! I would love to hear critique if you do get a chance. Or from anyone else for that matter. I feel really good about them but would like to know if there is anything better I couldve done. Thanks in advance!

    Ooh! Very cool!

I am not so fond of #11 + 8 ,and #16, though. #11 + 8 is dead pan in the middle and there is no action looking at someone's back. And #16, his right hand doesn't visually look very comfortable.

But overall I think this is a very sweet engagement session! I like 6,18, and 19!

What a great setting for an E shoot. You should be very happy with this. Very well done for a first effort, I am sure the couple will be ecstatic with these.

I really like #8, but I wish his hands were in a different location.
Aside from location of hands in a few photos, I think you did a great job.

    Very nice.

Absolutely wonderful!! Wow, to be selected by a photographer to do the engagement shoot, awesome !

My only comment is to be kind to his under eye circles in the final editing. Just a little help of course. That jumped out at me at the first real look at his face. But wow what a great series. Congratulations. I love them.

great job with the basics..focus, exposure, framing, and the processing. Very well done. =) The posing was good but not great imo..2,8 and 11 for example. 8 and 11 may just be and angle issue...

Thank you, Qarik...yeah there wasn't a ton of posing going on, it was a lot of them just being lovey-dovey and having a good time. It was fun though, something I definitely want to do again. :D

I really like them. They are unique and bright and colorful, yet have a cool tone to them. I agree a few stand out more than others, but I enjoyed looking at every single one of them! clap.gifclap.gifclap.gif

Wow!iloveyou.gif I love this set! I have only one very small nit. #2 I am guessing it is her purse laying on the ground. It really pulls my eyes from the couple. Othere than that one tiny nit.....Amazing!clap.gif
