Ended up not working on Super Bowl Sunday, so I went out and took some photos. Still experimenting with HDRs, trying to get a little better at it. I think these are my best results. All shot with 50D and Canon 10-22.

Hi, I like #2, the way the outside vegetation is coming inside ready to take over - I don't think it is overdone either.

I really enjoy the first two. I think the perspectives are so much more interesting than the other two. Also, i think they both just barely walk the fine line for me which is not overdone in HDR. Great shots!

i can't claim to be an authority on hdr, as i have yet to try it out myself, but on the whole, you have a rather appealing series. 1 and 2 look the strongest of the series, and i agree that the wider perspective is a little different and refreshing. the dark areas/streaks in the clouds in #2 look a little artifactual and somewhat distracting, however. i like the comp in #4, but am not wild about the lighting, which seems challenging to begin with.

#4 is the winner - with a bit more work. If you have a frame with the clouds more "correctly" exposed, I think this could be a stellar shot. I really, really like the composition.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I really appreciate it. As this is only my second time really playing with HDRs, I was looking for some serious C&C.

Scott and dls, I know what you mean about the lighting in #4. In my first attempt, I had to put a B&W LR preset over the image to even get it where it is now. However once I read your responses, and Scott yours is what made me go back to it, I reprocessed the photo again, and got some (I think) WAY better results.

What do you think of the re-done #4?

I have no idea what's causing it, but there's a strange glow in the sky at upper left and bottom right corners of the barn door. It was there in the orginal version as well, but differently. But, because I have no idea what' causing it, I have no idea of how to correct it either ... or if it even needs "correcting".

But, I like the fact that there's more detail in the clouds - I think that's much improved.

I think I see what you're seeing. Possible something from HDR processing? I'll take a look at it. Thanks for your response.
