There is a guy here locally selling this lens in mint condition for $350 OBO. It is a Canon mount and is AF. Does anyone have any experience with this lens? Is this a good price?

Thanks!

Does he have the DI model, or the older one?
You can buy the DI Norman camera for $379 with $30 rebate bring the price
to $349 new with full warranty. (it looks like $10 shipping to my house, fedex ground)

I've never bought anything from Norman camera, this is just some info.

I had one for 2 weeks and then returned it when the canon triple rebates
    happened. I have a gallery here: http://www.pbase.com/davev/fall_colors

    Hope this helps.

Its a nice light weight travel lens, if your needs tend to be on the long end. Sharpness aint great, nor are most of the other categories to judge it by, but it is light, cheap, and with a wide focal length range. ne_nau.gif

I just press the button and the camera goes CLICK. :dunno

It sounds like the consensus is to save for the lens I really want, instead of trying to make do and be disappointed. I think I am probably better off waiting for Canon glass without the moving f-stop. I will save up and go for the 70-200 f4 then.

    Thanks!
