I really like the composition. It kinda seems a tad under exposed? And the non level horizon kinda bugs me. Excellent sculpture though, reminds me of works by Andy Goldsworthy.

    It's called an inukshuk.For a full explanation see http://www.inukshukgallery.com/inukshuk.html

A typical Inuit place or trail marker but now seen on roadsides and elsewhere built by anyone with time on their hands.

    Cool, though.

My pleasure. The start of the Cabot Trail is about a 5-hour drive from home. I'm hoping to get back up there in the spring (or fall) to enjoy the scenery again. This year I want to go from East to West though - completely different perspectives.ne_nau.gif

I really like this image. It's worth some additional processing. Straighten out the horizon, perform some selective processing, sky, foreground etc.

The details are not lost in the shadows of your image and can be brought right out.

I put it in PS and played with it and that image can be improved pretty easily.

Looks like a very beautiful place. I like the color of the rocks and the water...they seem to go so well together.

    Howdy,

We loved that area, and there was just so much to see and do.

We stayed 2 nights in Cheticamp, then drove down towards Indian Brook, then to Louisbourg, then finished up with 3 nights in Halifax.

We are really looking forward to returning ourselves, it was just a wonderful trip all around.
    Take care,

    Howdy Sam,

Thanks very much for your reply and suggestions also, I straightened up the Horizon, and lightened it up a little.

    Hey You,

I liked the first issue of this but the second variation is even better. I think the lightening up helped. I love the composition here, Craig.

    Take care,

    Tom
I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

    Howdy Tom,

Thanks, I kind of liked the first one also, but agree the Horizon was "Wonky" but I think it's the way I lean it didn't seem quite so bad.

    Howdy Michael,

Nova Scotia was even more stunning that I'd even dreamed of.

So much Maritime History, beautiful Scenery, wonderfully friendly Folks, and the Seafood was some of the Best that we've ever had.

    Glad you enjoyed the shots!!!

The Atlantic Provinces in general (NS, New Brunswick,PEI and Newfoundland) are extremely picturesque. Each offers its own unique vistas, culture and events. But, they all share a history worth investigating.

New Brunswick (my home - so I'm a little biased) is often overlooked because the other provinces do much more promotion - but it is unique as well. For example, with its strong Acadian population, NB is the ONLY officially bilingual province in Canada. Quebec is unilingual French. The rest of Canada is unilingual English.

Bordering the shores of the Bay of Fundy, NB boasts the highest tides in the world - and so much more.

Next time you travel 'north' be sure and allow a little time for us, tooiloveyou.gif
