    i like.
would love the shots to be a little bit lighter, though.

and the horizon seems to be a little crooked.

Hi Bob, and welcome! Don't be discouraged if you don't get a bunch of comments right away. Thread views count visitors who read Dgrin, but who aren't registered and therefore cannot post. Also, Dgrin's a busy forum and we're growing all the time, so sometimes things can scroll by. There's no harm in giving your thread a little bump if you think you need it.

These photos show a beautiful place and it looks like you got some lovely light, too. They look a little underexposed, however, and a smidge on the dark side. But what a great vista! Hope you have more things to show us from NZ. thumb.gif

Awesome subject, but a tad underexposed. Lighten it up a little and I think you'll have a winner. #2's horizon is off also and needs to be straightened up a little.

Agree with the lightening for both images, and horizon-straightening to be done in the second image.

I like the compositions overall but I feel it is a bit tight on the RHS for the first image, and at the top for the second.

The colours look very nice though, and I think once you brighten it up they will look lovely.

Thanks for the comments....that's what I needed. I really wanted the light from a nice sunset but the dark clouds came in before that happened. It was cold (first week of November) and very windy. I don't have much more from NZ as it rained half the time I was there.

Wow! Beautiful landscapes, very well captured.
I agree the second one would benefit from straightening the horizon, though.
