I recently got the opportunity to "tag-along" with a Pro photographer here in the Phoenix area. I am new to weddings, and have never really shot at one outside of 1 or 2 second shooter gigs for friends. At this event, I had no responsibility for any shots, just got to shoot whatever I saw.
Here are some shots. C&C appreciated. More are here... http://www.sliversoflight.com/Bits-and-Bytes/OFD-Wedding-02-06-10

Fear evaporates when we realize that our life stories and the history of the world were written with the same hand.

Seems like you should just jump on in and do one all on your own - those are STUNNING!!!!!
The first one's my favorite, so elegantly timeless.
I went through the gallery, too - absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! Can't see much of the wedding, but I'm sure it purely breathtaking.
Great job!!! If the bride hasn't seen those yet, let us know what she says!!

Totally new to weddings... 100% - but not new to photography. I wasn't posing anyone. I was basically grabbing different angles from the Primary and the Second Shooter in the shots they were setting up. I was literally a third wheel... The rest of the time was spent as a grip for gear and lights.
All the images I shot went to the Primary and I got to keep copies to play with and post. No way I could do one alone, not yet at least...
I thank you for the compliments!
think you are being too modest in saying you are new to weddings. rofl

Don't worry. I can fix you in photoshop.
Excellent shots, especially #3!
You didn't do another shot, exactly the same as #3, but with the B&G in focus and the fountain OOF by any chance?

Well you did an awsome job very nice pictures for Tagging along. lol
For most of them I shot a Canon 70-300mm, but I also had my Canon 10-22mm and 85mm Prime.
I turned on the Exif in the gallery if you would like to look at any specific shots..

So that's the secret. I keep making the mistake of being too responsible!:D
Seriously, this is nice work and certainly of professional caliber. Not just the post, but the images on your site as well. Really nice. I am taking some ideas away myself.
Thanks for sharing.
